Kristen Hirashima is a Certified Family Law Specialist known for her steady judgment, thoughtful communication, and balanced approach to complex custody and financial matters. She represents clients in all areas of family law, including custody, support, property division, and domestic violence.
Kristen blends strategic insight with careful preparation, ensuring that each case is handled with both diligence and perspective. Clients value her clear explanations, measured style, and unwavering focus on achieving practical resolutions.
Before co-founding Shebby Hirashima LLP, Kristen was a partner at Jacobson Scully Shebby LLP. Since 2020, Kristen has been named a Southern California Super Lawyers “Rising Star.” She is also recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for her work in family law, and in 2025 received AVVO’s Client’s Choice Award, an honor based solely on client reviews.
Kristen earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she recently returned for a semester as an Adjunct Professor to teach Community Property. Kristen received an athletic scholarship to attend California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she competed as a Division I track and field sprinter and earned her Bachelor of Science. Raised in Oxnard, Kristen credits her early years on her family’s strawberry farm with shaping her work ethic and grounded perspective.
These days, Kristen has three young children and serves on the PTA Board of her children’s school.
