Courtney Dunn is thrilled to be working this summer as a law clerk at Shebby • Hirashima LLP. Courtney is currently a rising third-year law student at Loyola Law School. She served as the Vice President of the Women’s Law Association.  She is also the upcoming Vice President of the Child and Family Law Society.  Courtney graduated magna cum laude from University of San Diego with a B.A. in International Relations and a Minor in Chinese.

Prior to joining Shebby • Hirashima, Courtney was a judicial extern in Commissioner Cohen’s restraining order department of the Los Angeles Superior Court.  She was a Certified Law School Student for the Rights in Systems Enforced (RISE) Clinic, where she represented trafficking survivors and victims of violent crime.  She was a Certified Law School Student for the Rights in Systems Enforced (RISE) Clinic, where she represented trafficking survivors and victims of violent crime.

Courtney’s passion for family law began when she started her law career as a family law extern at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice. LACLJ is a non-profit legal group who assists low-income clients, and she worked with clients on various matters involving domestic violence, sexual assault, dissolution, custody, and parentage. 

In her free time, Courtney enjoys exploring all that Los Angeles has to offer as she is a native to Nashville, Tennessee.
